About Delhi Transco Limited (DTL)
Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) is a wholly owned undertaking of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Incorporated on 1st July 2002, DTL is the designated State Transmission Utility (STU) of Delhi under the Electricity Act, 2003. DTL operates a modern Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission network comprising 4 substations at 400 kV and 43 substations at 220 kV level (as of 31.03.2026). DTL has met a record peak demand of 8,748 MW (29th June 2026), with transmission losses consistently below 1% — placing it among the best-performing STUs in the country.

- Service Bond: ₹5,00,000 (General/OBC/EWS) | ₹2,50,000 (SC/ST/PwBD) — must serve minimum 3 years after absorption
Selection Process
Selection is purely on the basis of GATE 2026 score. No separate written exam or interview. GATE 2025 or prior scores are NOT valid.
- GATE 2026 Score Shortlisting — Separate merit lists for Electrical, Non-Electrical, and Civil disciplines
- Document Verification — Certificates for qualification, caste, GATE scorecard, DD
- Medical Examination — By DTL Medical Board (decision final)
- Training Period (1 year) — 3 months academic (NPTI or equivalent) + 9 months on-the-job at substations/offices; minimum 65% marks required in training exam for absorption
- Final Absorption — As AM(T) / AM(Civil) in Pay Level-10
