The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is the Organizing Institute for GATE 2027 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). GATE 2027 will be conducted for 30 test papers as a Computer Based Test (CBT) across 300+ cities in India. Key highlights: a brand-new Robotics & Automation (RA) paper has been introduced, and the Textile Engineering & Fibre Science (TF) paper has been merged into XE as a sectional paper. - Candidates currently in 3rd year or higher of any UG degree (Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, Humanities)
- Candidates who have already completed any UGC/AICTE approved degree
- MBBS/BDS/BVSc: 5th semester or higher
- No age limit to appear for GATE 2027
- Foreign nationals can also appear — must come to India for the exam (no international centres)
