PS-001 – Project Scientist-I (Battery / Clean Energy Materials)
Essential Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical / Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University (or equivalent)
Experience: 1–2 years R&D experience in Industrial or Academic Institutions or Science & Technology organizations desirable — preferably in:
- Li-ion Batteries (LIB)
- Na-ion Batteries (NIB)
- Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) Batteries
Salary: ₹77,000/- fixed emoluments per month + HRA as per sanctioned project guidelines | Age: Max 55 years | Tenure: 4 years (initial 1 year, renewable)
Job Profile: Active participation in R&D activities for product/process development in advanced battery/clean energy materials — Li-ion, Na-ion, solid-state batteries, etc. Contribution to technology demonstration and application potential.
PS-002 – Project Scientist-I (SOFC Fuel Cells)
Essential Qualification: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science / Metallurgy / Ceramics from a recognized University (or equivalent)
Experience: 1–2 years R&D experience desirable — preferably in:
- Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) and Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cells (SOEC)
- Oxide material processing / ceramic material development
- Ceramic powder synthesis / SOFC cell component development
- Electrochemical testing of SOFC single cells and stacks
- SOFC simulation and modelling

CE-001 – Civil Engineer
Essential Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. OR B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
Experience:

- Experience in: Govt. organizations / Research laboratories / Academic Institutions / PSUs / CPWD / Private Ltd. organizations (EPF-covered)
- Fields: Structural design, site development, construction management, project execution, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)
Key Skills Required: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project and/or relevant engineering software
Desirable:
- Experience in structural layouts, conceptual plans, detailed engineering drawings, hydraulic calculations, drainage designs
- Preparation of technical specifications, BOQs, tender documents, work schedules, project reports, contractor bill verification
- Knowledge of IS Codes, construction standards, project monitoring, QA/QC procedures, safety practices

Selection Process
Project Scientists (PS-001, PS-002): Screening by committee → Shortlisting → Personal Interview
Civil Engineer (CE-001): Depending on number of applications received — either (a) Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates OR (b) Written examination followed by Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates.
Shortlisted candidates informed via email and list displayed on arci.res.in/offerings/careers. At interview stage, candidates must bring hard copy of application, self-attested photocopies of all certificates, originals for verification.
