About Indian Coast Guard
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is an armed force of India that operates under the Ministry of Defence. Established in 1977, ICG is responsible for protecting India’s maritime interests and enforcing maritime laws, combating smuggling, conducting search and rescue operations, and protecting marine environment.
