About NFR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), headquartered at Maligaon, Guwahati, has issued Centralised Notification No. NFR/NAPS/ACT APP./2026 for engagement of 6,777 Act Apprentices under The Apprentices Act, 1961, for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 training cycles. Training slots are spread across 8 divisions and workshops of NFR in Assam, West Bengal and Bihar.
This is one of India’s largest single Railway apprentice notifications — covering trades in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Signal & Telecommunication, and Medical domains. No written examination. No interview. Selection is purely based on merit in Class 10 and ITI marks.
