About the Post — Director General, STPI
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has invited applications for the post of Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). The post is being filled through direct recruitment or deputation. The selected candidate will serve for a maximum tenure of 5 years or till superannuation, whichever is earlier.
The Director General serves as the Chief Executive Officer of STPI, responsible for implementing decisions of the Governing Council and Executive Committee, exercising administrative and financial powers, and formulating organisational strategy.
📋 Eligibility Criteria
For Direct Recruitment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or IT — with 25 years of post-qualification experience
- OR Master’s degree in Engineering or related disciplines — with 20 years of experience
- OR PhD in the specified fields — with 17 years of experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management position
- Age limit: Maximum 50 years
For Deputation
- Officers of Central/State Governments, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies holding an analogous post, OR
- Minimum 3 years in Level-14 of Central Pay Matrix
- Must also satisfy educational and experience requirements of direct recruits
- Age limit: Maximum 58 years
