About the Post — Director General, SCL Mohali
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has invited applications for the post of Director General, Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali. The Semi-Conductor Laboratory is India’s premier government-owned semiconductor fabrication facility, operating under MeitY. The post is being filled through direct recruitment or deputation for a maximum tenure of 5 years or till superannuation.
The Director General of SCL is responsible for leading India’s indigenous semiconductor research, design, and fabrication initiatives — a strategically critical role under India’s semiconductor mission.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or IT

- 17–25 years of post-qualification experience depending on qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in senior management
- Age limit: Maximum 50 years
For Deputation
- Officers of Central/State Governments, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies holding an analogous post, OR
- Minimum 3 years in Level-14 of Central Pay Matrix
- Age limit: Maximum 58 years
