- Education: B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline from recognized institute
- Minimum Marks: 60% (55% for SC/ST)
- Post-Qualification Experience: Varies by scale (0-5 years for Scale 1 to 15+ years for Scale 4)
- Age Limit: Max 32-43 years (depending on scale) as on 30 June 2026
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC(NCL) +3 yrs, PwBD +10 yrs, ExServicemen as per rules
Diploma Engineers (23 Posts)
- Education: Diploma in relevant engineering trade from recognized institute
- Minimum Marks: 60% (55% for SC/ST)
- Experience: Drafting/design experience in chemical, oil & gas, power, refinery, fertilizer industries
- Age Limit: Max 32-38 years (depending on scale) as on 30 June 2026

❓ Is this a permanent job or temporary contract?
This is a pure contract position for up to 3 years. Initial contract is 1 year, renewable yearly based on performance. There is no automatic claim for permanent absorption after contract ends.
❓ Can I apply for multiple scales/disciplines?
No. Only ONE application per Aadhaar number is allowed. Multiple applications will be automatically rejected. Choose the one position that matches your experience best.
❓ What experience do I need to apply?
Experience requirement varies by scale. Scale 1 requires 0-5 years, Scale 2 requires 5-10 years, Scale 3 requires 10-15 years, and Scale 4 requires 15+ years post-qualification experience. All experience must be in relevant industries (chemical, fertilizer, oil & gas, power, refinery).
❓ Will I get TA reimbursement for the interview?
Yes. Shortlisted candidates appearing for interview will get TA reimbursed for III AC (including Rajdhani) or Sleeper class rail fare via shortest route within India, on producing the ticket. TA is paid only to candidates who actually appear for interview.
❓ Can I apply if I don’t have all documents ready?
No. You must upload all required certificates (degree/diploma, mark sheets, experience letters) during application. Incomplete applications are not processed. Gather all documents before starting the application.
❓ What if my degree has CGPA instead of percentage?
You must obtain a certificate from your institute stating the equivalent percentage. Submit this certificate along with your application to prove the equivalent marks.
❓ Can I apply from outside India?
Yes. This is an all-India recruitment open to Indian citizens. However, you must be available for interview in India and for posting at any PDIL location across India.
