Eligibility Criteria
1. Scientific Officer (C) – 1 Post (EWS)
Essential Qualification: Full-time B.E./B.Tech with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university/institute in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Production Engineering.
Essential Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in:
- Product Design (CAD and CAE)
- Precision Machining using 5-axis CNC machines
- Engineering Materials & Manufacturing Process Planning & Control
- Jigs & Fixture Design and Quality Control (CMM etc.)
Desirable: Experience with NX CAM, Tool/Job Setup, and operating Heidenhain TNC640 based 5-axis milling machines.
Job Profile: Design & Development, Precision Modern Manufacturing, and management tasks for technically challenging components/products for TIFR programs. Maintenance of scientific instruments.
Appointment: Initial 3 years (including 1 year probation). After successful review, continued till superannuation at age 60. Governed by National Pension System (NPS).
2. Project Scientific Officer (B) – 1 Post (UR)
Essential Qualification: Full-time Master’s degree in Science (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences or related disciplines) with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university/institute.
Essential Experience: Minimum 3 years full-time laboratory experience in:
- Mass Spectrometry
- Metabolomics
- Small-molecule / metabolite extraction and analyses
- Isotope tracer studies or isotope ratio mass spectrometry analyses
Job Profile: Independently operate LC-MS/MS, LC-QTOF-MS platforms; metabolite extraction; data acquisition, processing and interpretation; metabolomics data analysis; quality control and SOPs; user training.
Appointment: Temporary, initially 1 year — renewable up to a maximum of 3 years based on performance and project requirement. Non-pensionable.

3. Project Junior Engineer (B) – Civil – 1 Post (UR)
Essential Qualification: Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university/institute.
Essential Experience: Minimum 2 years full-time experience in supervision of civil works.
Desirable: Experience in AutoCAD for building and site layout plans as per GHMC DCR, preparation of estimates and Bill of Quantities as per CPWD norms, site supervision and coordination.
Job Profile: Data collection for TIFR-H Master Plan, coordinating with architects and end-users, AutoCAD modifications, coordination of site visits with statutory authorities, record keeping.
Appointment: Temporary, initially 1 year — renewable up to 3 years. Non-pensionable.
