Screening Process: Since only 2 vacancies exist (1 UR + 1 OBC), top 5 candidates each from UR and OBC category (in descending GATE 2026 score order) will be called in-person to the NHAI office to verify their GATE 2026 score card authenticity by downloading it before the Screening Committee. No TA/DA will be paid for this appearance.

Final Year Students: Candidates whose degree result has not been declared by 5 August 2026 may apply. However, they must submit provisional/final degree certificate to NHAI latest by 31 August 2026, failing which candidature will be cancelled without further notice.
Mandatory Upload: Degree or Provisional Degree certificate must be uploaded. Uploading only marksheets of all semesters is NOT sufficient for candidates who have already received their certificate.
GATE 2026 Score Requirement
- Must have a valid GATE 2026 score in the discipline of Computer Science and Information Technology
- GATE score card must be uploaded as PDF (max 2 MB) with online application
- Candidates will be required to download GATE 2026 score card from IIT Guwahati/GATE 2026 Office portal before the Screening Committee in-person
- Fee for downloading GATE 2026 score card is to be borne by the candidate

Selection Process
Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates have the same GATE score, the one with an earlier date of birth will be ranked higher. If date of birth is also the same, alphabetical order of first name applies.
Failing to appear in-person before the Screening Committee will result in cancellation of candidature with no further opportunity.
Service Bond
⚠️ Service Bond: ₹5,00,000 (Five Lakh Rupees)
- All selected candidates must execute a bond for minimum 3 years service from date of joining NHAI
- Resignation or termination for misconduct within 3 years = liability to pay ₹5 lakhs to NHAI
- Bond transfer accepted if joining NHAI from another Government Organization where a bond was already executed
- Bond transfer also accepted if NHAI employee secures employment under Central/State Govt or Autonomous Body with proper permission
