The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Eligibility Criteria
Assistant Professor Grade-I
- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the relevant branch
- Very good academic record throughout
- Minimum 3 years of teaching / research / industrial experience from the date of thesis defence (excluding experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. or any lower degree)
- Experience must be in a reputed organisation
- Strong research capabilities — publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals with good impact factor and/or patents
Assistant Professor Grade-II
- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the relevant branch
- Very good academic record throughout
- Strong research capabilities — publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals and/or patents
- May be appointed on contract basis if 3-year experience requirement not met
- Eligible for promotion to Grade-I on completing 3 years of experience as per Institute norms
Age Limit
Preferably not more than 35 years. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD as per GoI norms.
