Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) — one of India’s largest integrated steel producers — is inviting applications for its One Year Apprenticeship Training Programme 2026-27 under The Apprentices Act, 1961. RSP is situated in Rourkela, Odisha and is a Navratna Central PSU.

Qualification
- Trade Apprentices: ITI Pass in the respective designated trade from a Government-recognised institute
- Graduate Apprentices: Degree in the respective engineering or other discipline from a Government-recognised University/Institute
- Technician Apprentices: Diploma in the respective engineering or other discipline from a Government-recognised Institute
- Qualifications must be from regular/full-time courses only
Year of Passing
Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 only are eligible. Earlier batches are not eligible.
Age Limit
Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as on 31 August 2026. Age relaxation as per Govt. of Odisha guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.
Other Conditions
- Candidates who have already completed 1 year of apprenticeship under any establishment are NOT eligible
- Candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship training are NOT eligible
- Results of qualifying examination must be declared before the last date of application (26 August 2026)
- Bank account must be DBT-enabled with KYC verified (stipend paid through BOPT under DBT mode)
